Done and tested. Just need to put rope in the other recoil.  Different clutch cover.

Took the tube out of the inside of the muffler on these.  Didnt drill this baffle out yet. Just removed screen.

Max is 13.8K but 12.8K was to my liking.

The 330 I found today on back lower shelf. Forgot about this one.   ::) :D :P

So I guess the piston was backwards.

Yep. 2nd 3450 in a row like that.

I think I can add one more to that list.

Proper assembly- arrow points toward exhaust, right?

Hmmmm.   Here's a puzzeler.

Two pistons, pulled from my '07 330's when converted to 60cc, have ring gaps at exh. side.  One has bold arrow @exh. side, the other has 97 with EXH under and arrow.

My newest has 97 and faint EXH and arrow @ exh. side  with the ring gap on intake side.  WTF?!?!?!?!

Two pistons from '07 saws have slight casting bump in center.

Latest piston has a slight recess.

Ever seen this?

I have not taken a lot of 330 apart and never really paid attention.   The arrow though on the piston should point to the exhaust unless some one has been in it before and modified it for some reason to have the ring gap in a different location.   It really is about the ring gap being in a place so that it cannot hang up on a port.

Yep I dont pay attention to arrows. I go by ring gap. Can see how that could mess a guy up if they are unsure and follow a misprinted piston.

If there is no pin offset in these saws, then the piston can go either way.  This saw was factory assembled with ring gap at intake side and run. Other saws were factory assembled with gap at exh side.  Cylinders are the same.
