Collectors seem to think it isnt worth any extra as a fire department saw.  Unless a FD type collector was looking for such. Have been told they look for older FD stuff not the modern age.

So am not going to worry about it.   Was just trying to make sure is all.

I set my first poulan 415 I had bought from original owner today back up with original bar it came with when he bought it at TSC. I had bought it in a box after loosing fight with tree long ago.

Just so folks could see how they were sold at one time in the FB group. The small dawg is the dawg I run for 16" bar. Forgot to put the medium dawg on.

I took a 36” with full comp chain and bar in trade. I looked around and thought I wonder how the 65cc would pull that buried.
I was shocked and amazed how good the quad port 65cc did. 😳✌️

Watched this poulan pro 415 for sale about 1 hour south of me.  Figure someone in the CRG would end up buying it.  Which it was. They were sharing post yesterday of their new saw.

Only 2nd one I have seen with the partner air filter cover.  If I recall right.  Ask him to check for me to see if one of the rarer ones with updated tank and air filter set ups too. I'm betting yes.

Was discussing the hard to find yellow updated tanks that has the updated air filter system with a guy that worked for poulan back then.    The yellow updated ones came after the 475 yellow style with that crappy air filter system.  But before the black tanks used last with the air injection and updated air filters.

I have only seen 2 to date and I have owned both of those. 1 came on a poulan 415 that was sold at TSC local and even had the partner yellow air filter cover.

Here is what he said about the updated yellow tanks.  = Pilot run units. I think they made 50 if I remember correctly.

The yellow partner air filter cover on the poulan.  =   That is the Partner air filter cover. Ha.  A little assembly line whoopsie.

How he feels on the 475 set up. =  I have had too many beers since then, but the Partner saws kept the yellow tank. They never changed to black. I did it to erase the bad memory of the 475.

Info have saved on the dating of Gen1 to Gen2

This was the 1992 415's = If read like the black husky tag. 92 week 7 and his is saw 20 is Gen1 old air filter set up still and mine Gen2 with updated air filter but no air injection yet, saw 254 so week 7 sometime in production must have been when they began switching stuff WAG

Here is another 415 yellow top with Gen2 tank. 1992 and if reading right week 7 and saw 171.

So somewhere now between 20 and 171 was the change.

Can see a few of my old saws up there in his collection too.
