Do you have the rev-limited green coil in it?
well the coil is green! :'( finished putting it together. i couldn't stand it. i had to see how it runs. seems to run good. nice throttle response. idles ok too. ;D

If your coil is green it is rev limited. To about 10K at that.

I don't want to go through looking up the part # again it superceds about 100 times.  ;D

Basically you want a 55 Husky coil. 50,51,55, 262, 61, 268, 272 all use the same coil and will work.

I used coils from a 55 on my 475's and you will sure enjoy being able to tune the carb without it limiting out at 10K.

Mark did you have to retime the flywheel to use the 272 coil?

I know on the 3120 had to re-time flywheel with 272 coil. I used a older Jonsered coil in place of a 272 that I didnt have at the time. What a difference it made in a stock 3120 limiting at 10.5K and going to 13.2K, no more bumping limiter in the cut with it after that.

Correct and if you run the numbers I wouldnt be surprised to see it come up to the same 55 coil. Elux shareing the parts you know.  ;D

The 475 and 505 and there Jonsered counterparts were the only ones limited as far as I know. Thing is the manuls say 13,500 rpm for them but plainly they changed that.

My 475 is still fourstroking at 14,500 but it has more compression then stock.

Dug up the info I had on coil  used in place of 272 coil on my 3120xp. Jonsered 625 670 and Husky later models 268 61.

I used one of the Jonsered 625. Just so you have other options.
