Barn is cold and cant get in the mood to hit the project. But doing some reading this morning Niko's post gave ;D me another idea.

All those saws were made at the Husky factory, but there weren't any Husky version of any of them.

Hmmmmmm a husky orange one could be next.   :D

Some days you just need to walk away from the bench.

Ripped the only used base gasket I had on hand. No new on hand either.  :-X
Didnt like the way it was sucking into transfer port and tried to reshape it to port.  :o  Old used gasket wasnt having any of that.   :D

Ron my lower ring on 066 afm piston doesn't get to the intake without gasket. Will check with gasket later too.

066 Meteor piston is .020 higher then 2083 OEM piston. Squish with gasket, OEM piston was .041. With 066 piston squish is at .021. Comp is at 170 pounds. The 2083 rod is wider than the 066, piston needs to be opened up.

Ron I tore the gasket on the 505 but checked the squish anyways with used before gasket and got .0285 with this 066 afm piston.

I also was able to run both rings after checking. The lower never showed coming down to the intake.

Just waiting on gasket since I wanted oem instead of just making one.  Putting stuff back together slowly.   ::)

Painted the metal 272 clutch cover I had made for the 475 when I didnt have a cover for it. This one is now lime green.

660Mag was over today while I was putting stuff back on the 505 and can vouch for it being lime green and nothing like the pics show for some reason.

I painted my worst shape 505 cover lime green and peeled the sticker off it. It was missing  2 rows of cross bars on the top front area.

Put a 5000 plus coil in it and everything seems ready to go as soon as the new base gaskets show up.  :)

I did not know your recoil starter cover was bad, I had one here in a lot better shape you can have.   The green is coming along.
