Truth be known. Really Partner designed chainsaws made at the husqvarna plant.  http://chainsawrepair.createaforum.com/partner/7700-710-660-partner-trio/msg49995/#new

Unpacked the other 505.  Going to show my redneck way of checking seals without pressure testing.

My Redneck way of checking seals when top end is removed from saws.

I fill full of mix  and wait and see. Best to remove flywheel too.

Less then a min I knew why this one toasted itself.  Leaking around crankshaft and dribbling down to case.

PTO side seal leak.  Pic is about 5mins worth. After over a  hour or more it had almost all drained out PTO side.  Fly never did show any wetness.

This comes in very handy on a saw where someone has already pulled the jug?

Yep that be the one. Good luck and check them good. That seems to be the killer on these. Crank bearings and or seals.

I learned this trick on Racesaws years ago 08 or so. Brian aka Timberwolf showed it.

Batting 100% using this method on seals.

I was just looking up the 505 445 425 PTO side bearing and seal. Has a superseded number to 525434201  from 503252002

$30 per side as set.
