Niko, off hand as far as I can tell, the 415 and 475 never had the air injection while the 425,445 and 505 all did.

That is logic with the 415, but I have my doubts about the 475, as both the P7700 and the 2077 came both without and with it..... ???

Thce saw really is a Partner, and the original design was the P7700.

The "family" consisted of P7700, 710 and 660 -
Most (if not all) were made at the Husqvarna factory in Sweden, but there never was a Husky version...... ;)

So is the Partner 7700 710 660 a partner made saw or like the poulans a jonsered  saw relabeled?

The P7700 was the original design, but the saws were made at the Husky factory, at least from 1990 and on (most likely all the time, but I am lacking evidense of that).

Could be, but I have yet to see a 475 with it, but that don't mean anything really.

Made me look today 415 475 dont have air injection or de-comp on my 2.  The 505 has both.

Does your 505 have the "pre filter" at the carb adjust location?  Mine does not and seams never did.  This would make sense as the it would source air from the air injection.

I see no pre-filter on the 505 and  I dont see one on the IPL I use either.

Seems to be 2 different air filters, but everything I have is the fine mesh pleated vertically.

The saws that have the fully developed "air injection" don't have the prefilter - it is one or the other, never both, in any IPL I have seen.

I can't find a single 475 IPL that show it either.....

I knew there was something different about the 505 muffler when I first got it.

Today after comparing 505 475 415 mufflers I see the difference now. Anyone else have the muffler like on the 505? Maybe on a 2083 or 2083 II.

505

475

415
