That is true on the PTO side for the old seal 475 415. The new updated 505 445 425 PTO seal and bearing set work in those too.

Yes, replace the old style with the new style and carry on....

Same as 372 066 mm I cant say off hand. Brain farting

Thats why you can use 372BB 064 in 475 and 066 in 505. Yes it is the cats meow IMO for your friends finger ported one.

This piston works great in the 505/2083

More info me and Ron has posted.

Mine.

I paid closer attention to my measurements this time and measured the squish.   I came up with .0245 at tightest on the afm 066 piston with USED gasket.

The oem 505 with oem piston on the other saw when I installed today was .040 with NEW oem gasket.

 I checked the 425 top before puling it and it was .0435 with used gasket.


Ron

066 Meteor piston is .020 higher then 2083 OEM piston. Squish with gasket, OEM piston was .041. With 066 piston squish is at .021. Comp is at 170 pounds. The 2083 rod is wider than the 066, piston needs to be opened up. Runs good

Roger I know somewhere you mentioned a new 505 project.  I cant find it right now with my shine on again ;).  So tell us more whats going on etc.
