Well I'll be. Going through some of the new and older 54mm pistons pulled from saws. One of them had been a 54mm aftermarket piston with oem circlips and wrist pin. Never caught it. So compared it to a oem one and specs was right there. Weighing wont do any good as it was one that broke when the crank broke in a 2083. I can not believe I never caught that was a afm piston. I can tell once I took time and seen the grainy sides.

Also got a stuck ring out of a used one that cane in after some soaking. Didnt even have to boil it. AFM on right.

Skirts seem super thick on AFM

Sold one of the 505 2083 cylinders to a friend for a project saw.  He been looking for awhile.

Decided to use the other one for the poulan I started to build 3rd PP445 71cc with. Now I am going to build a 83cc in half wrap to go with the 83cc full wrap.

Think I am going to throw the NOS 2 ring piston in it just for being different.   Also uses 1.2mm rigs like the stihl 66 piston.

Also to be alittle different going to use the yellow updated tank with updated air filter set up, instead of the black ones.  Only have seen 2 of them to date  and other one is on my later run PP415 that was sold new at TSC way back.

Unless the guy asking about the 505 cylinder gets back with me and wants it.

Slowly pulling the pieces to build that 83cc oem double ring piston 505. Unlimited 415 coil and crankcase. Yellow updated tank and air filter set up.

Ran into something that never happened to me before. All the times of swapping carbs, tanks, air filter set ups. Never had this happen till now. Choke wouldn’t set. Seen why on carb hitting air filter base. First time for everything.

WJ28A and B I’ll grind that little tab off if I have to go back to the carb that I started with.

Sometimes you just have to step back and laugh at yourself.   :D :D :D :D  All CRG post thrown into one here.

She lives. Fired off 3 pulls on choke. Now to button up.

😋 duh! Forgot I needed a cover for decomp and no air injection for this one. Time for rednecking

Duck it. Putting plug in it till later. Want to put in some wood.

 No decomp 🤣

Ok I play that game too. 460 rescue handle.

Feels good in cuts . Last log tested in while tuning in other.

I got NOS recoil and clutch cover I could have put on it. But just went with used. I had to use a NOS 475 air filter cover I gutted for the updated air filter set up. Sold to many air filter covers.
Thinking this is my last of these I am going to build. Done the whole series. Only one I havent put back together is the PP425 which is a updated version of the 415. Needed crank bearing and split it and never finished.
