I have an earlier version of the micro,Craftsman style .It has a 12" with a Stihl chain on it .As a matter of fact it really  isn't a bad little climbing saw and what I used before I had the Stihl 200T's .

It's lighter that a 200 but it of course doesn't have as much power . Two dollar auction special . ;D

For some reason or another I can't get pictures  to load .Any way I've got this little red rascal that is kind of like the older saw in reply number 3 of this thread .

It has a thumb oiler which I managed to screw up the button and a fixed jet carb I'd like to replace .I have no idea what the Poulan model is  but assume it to be an early version of the XX .If I knew the model I could find the parts no doubt .

Wish I had knew Al. I shipped a whole non running XX parts saw I was stealing from away to another needing parts. All out of XX now days.

The carbs I had for XX had H and L fully adjustable. I think Tilleys. I might have a carb kit and a old carb if I didnt give them away too. Check your carb and see what you have on your red xx.

According to what Mike says it's a Tllley HU 22A .In looking in my Tillotson book it doesn't list that carb but I suspect either 5/16 or 3/8 venturi . With that in mind it would take either a Hu 27 or 28 to get to a carb with both needles in those sizes .Walbro maybe from a weed wacker seeings that saw is a tiny 1.86 cubic inch .

I have a couple junk wackers in the shed I'll take a peek at when I get a chance .

I  have a few of these 25's and S25's.

Like Al said earlier they were the best back then and still great today.

They came in every color of the rainbow .Oddly the off colors sold for less than the ones that said Poulan .Poulan didn't care because they made money no matter who marketed them .

Homelite and McCulloch did the same thing with selling knock offs .Mac with the PM 610 and Homey with the XL-12 .

There must still be a few around because if I'm not mistaked Baileys still sell the spur sprockets and also I think you can still find them in the original 1/4" chain  size as well as 3/8" low .
