The Dayton model appears to be one of the later models with a kind of anti vib built in .Most all of the s-25 models I've seen have all been rigid mount .

There were plenty of both models. The one I posted is actually a S25CVA.

Lets just say that the collection is still growing. I have 2 other Ridgid saws, one is a 306A, the other a XX deluxe.

There were 5 rebadged all together, I'm missing the standard XX and the 4200.

I just remembered this one! This is interesting as this was rebadged for Jonsereds before all the Elux take overs.

Lil Jon now thats funny.

Do you have the little poulan with the coolest paint job IMO. It's the XX turned into a Poulan 76 Bicentennial edition. Larry had brought one to the 07 GTG so I could get a close look of the decal and paint job.

They didn't change them much over the years .Evidently that Craftsman version was later in production  with a solid state coil .When they went to solid state I have no idea .

If nothing else if a guy was in the tree biz one or two of these if kept for nothing but a back up saw or extra ground saw would certanly be worth the few pennys they sell for .FWIW I'll bet as many of these things were used as light duty firewooders as were for climbers . While they are of top handle design they aren't a true top handle and in fact don't handle real well with one hand although we all know nobody would do that . ;)

I suppose the bad thing is they have no brake which would make some people squimish about operating them .Old farts like myself it wouldn't bother though having been brought up in the day before brakes .
