Poulan S25 AV   I am looking at one and it looks like the AV is only on the top handle and none on the rear handle.  Right?

Be a nice one for your son Ron.  $85

That's right Kevin.  AV on the handlebar only. The only XXV series saws with full AV are the 25-CVA and S25 - CVA.

Same distinction with the Micro series saws.  AV branded models only have AV on the handlebar.  CVA models (and the 2100/2400/PP236 rear handle saws) have full AV.

Speaking of which,S-25 ,I have one giving me fits. It belongs to my wifes' cousin.

I've had that thing nearly field stripped .Rebuilt the carb, new fuel lines ,plug ,checked the timing ,flipped the reed ..At best I get a poof and have ignited that little rascal  about 3 or 4 times from fuel build up,stub,no muffler  .

All I can think of is a funky condenser which can cause real strange things to happen .At the moment it's been banned to the shelf until I get my composuer back lest I run over it with my bulldozer .

Thanks but I have to get over my pout first . ;D Ha once I got a case of the red azz at a Stihl and that SOB sat on the shelf two years before I calmed down .

The thing about those dang condensers is with the plug out you might get a nice blue spark, looks good .However once you get it above cranking speed it can do funny things .I just went through this on my old Jeep .

Odd in both cases if that is the case .Usually the condenser is either good or bad, spark or no spark .Maybe the condenser witch has been sneaking around my place . :D
