Chainsaw Repair

It's a puzzle I wonder if it was just reseating it on the intake. I put a little grease on the intake gasket rubbed it in cleaned out impulse hole. Maybe it allowed it to seat correctly. At least it allows easy disassembly without tearing a gasket if you don't get it right .  I did not change needle or arm because saw had very little use and was very clean had just set up till diaphragms got hard. Think I was overstressing because it was my first strato carburetor.  Really not much different from old style.

I understand what you say about dirt It's like the third time you clean a lawnmower carburetor a big glob of gelled goo comes out of a carb you would of swore was perfectly clean.
