When you take it down keep us posted on the progress.   I have one and can always snap picture of if need be.

Here's a link to the service manual which isn't the greatest but it should help out.

I was looking at that manual Tim and sure looks good to me.    I do not remember if I had it or not but now I will always know where to find it.   Thanks Tim.

I know where to find it in my computer.

I downloaded it.

Glad you could use it. I could sure use one for the micro series if you have one. I think someone sent me one but either that was a dream or it's gone missing due to something I messed up.
I used my micro (Craftsman 2300 CVA) after fixing the oiler check valve and it really is an impressive little saw. Those things are all over the place up here but always in colors other than Poulan. Most all seem to have chain brakes.

poulan 1800 2000 2300 service manual    let me check it might be on a dvd I set back but didnt install for back ups.

Only thing will be figuring out where I hid it from myself for safe keeping.

But yes it is out there in the online world.  Heck might be on my HD too, need to check.

update:
Found disc and wasnt on it. Checked HD wasnt there.  ???    poulan 1800 2000 2300 repair manual is listed online though. Just havent found a free download in my 5min search yet.

Thanks for looking Kevin. No big deal as the saw is fairly simple and standard like most Poulans of that era. They're nice to have though.

Tim I have the Micro SM on my home computer. Will send it to you next time I am on that computer.  Can't remember offhand if I have your email address.  Better PM it to me...
-Aaron

For older saws:
Tune the H side so that it 4-strokes (burbles) at WOT unloaded and just cleans up when under load.
When you lift cutting load, the saw should immediately revert to 4-stroking.  Fine tune the transition point for the wood you're cutting.
