PP330 tank vent
« on: September 13, 2014, 08:08:58 am »
I recently picked up a 330 from the bay. When I took it out of the box and was going over it the dang tank vent fell out. My questions are where is the hole in the tank located and how far do I have to tear the saw down. Also I hate to install the vent and have it fall out again so I was thinking about blocking the hole and installing a different type of vent like drilling a hole and installing a fuel line with a couple sert screws like stihl used to do on some older models or I have some homelite duckbills I could use also. Have any of you ever blocked the vent hole off and used a different type of vent on this saw? If so what did you use?

I've used the husky/redmax/ Poulan p/n 530 026 119 as a retrofit in the past...

I have several saws that use this type of vent but I have never had one come out yet.   Hopefully it will stay that way.

Hiya John.   I see you made it over here too.  That is one clean looking PP330.
