That smoker is made out of an old fuel oil tank. The best devices are the ones you make yourself utilizing some existing device that is no longer needed.

My dad made a lot of smokers out of different size oil drums. They cooked good. He liked the little small drums the best.

He gave them to friends and relatives. The oil drums were thin and they would only last two or three years.

Great pics Kevin.  That little lizard you showed reminded me of finding a **** toad out at the property.   I also like the smoker too.   You guys sure have a lot of vegetation around there.

Sure do love me some bbq chicken!  Nice pictures man, seems like a month ago everything was still brown, now its all green & gangbusters.  I have a big semi type water tank off a concrete truck I have been wanting to make a big smoker out of.  Thanks again for posting!

I thought about that setting up there on that pine.

I have more pics taken in the hills. Just need to resize.

Took some of the flats before creek crossing then flat behind creek and then up to hills and in.

Few more resized.

Looking down from 2nd pine to roof of cow barn. Then up the hill. Then some down the hill. Then looking up the 2nd hill from the valley.

Couple of bigger poplar that dad wants me to drop.  They look so small in pic, but would take at least 2 2.5 of me with hands joined around to reach dbh.

2 pics show brown area that is a dead bamboo patch that didnt make it through this winter.

more pics info above.

The pic with the plowed areas is mine to that tan house you see at end of pic. This is the flat land behind the creek.

The pic with taller grass  is mine till you see the smaller pine row. Pines are my border trees we planted. Can see 2 of them along the road at end. This is frontage from front of creek to road.

Then I own to the top of 2 hills I am taking pics inside of.

17 with 2 pieces I bought 11.5 and 5.5. Seems like more with the hills.

Dad has 12 to left of me and then my bro has 12 left of dad.  Back in 93 we bought 3 sections out of a broke up farm. Then in spring 94 I bought another smaller building site they sold 5.5.  I wanted more but it as they kept selling off buttttt. Wrong timing kept me from getting  38 more I wanted  behind me and 50 beside skipping 2 small places and circled in behind joining up in hills.
Had just bought place up north where I am at.  So had to pass on them.
