Chainsaw Repair

After the chain build off I am going to do some testing with the left over cants.

I am going to run the poulan 365 with the stock small oem carb and small intake boot for timed cut.

Then I am going to switch on a bigger carb from the 330 380 3750 3450 saws using the small intake boot still. Test cut again.

Then I will try and put a 3450 tank on the 365 to run the big boot and bigger carb on the 365 to see what gains made with each step. 
I just dont want to grind open my smaller tanks open and carb stuff to use bigger boot. So hopefully the swap works.

The 365 is 60cc open quad port.   

I am really interested in seen this Kevin.   I have never compared them and it would be nice to know if upgrading is worth the effort.

Well you know how slowwwwwwwwwwww my projects have been lately  .
But this is one that interest me as I wonder on all phases of it too. 

My woods ported partner 5000 with tiny oem carb was right on the tail of the 272 carbed opened up to flow alky P5000. 

I know my 357 carbed 346 was 10% faster then the small oem carbed 346 in the timed cuts. Couldnt tell it without a stop watch and the wood never new which saw I was running. 

Gains for cookie cutting is all the big carbs are for IMO.
