Useless trivia:

Sears/Craftsman sold a Roper made 3.7 that they called a 'Sportsman' or something similar.  They also sold a 25DA variant that they called 'Explorer'...
My dad had a couple of those 3.7's .The old boy couldn't keep his fingers off them ,added too much soup and snapped a couple of crankshafts .The last one he ever did is in Louisville at my brothers.

I have a nice one (later AV model) and a parts saw.  Just waiting on the usual fuel system rehab.  I'll get to it eventually.  I'd like to see what one of these would run like after being 'souped' up.  Hmmm.......
