Those 3.7 Roper/Craftsman had a lot of torque for 60 ccs'.They wouldn't out gun a Mac PM 610 but they weren't far behind .

You gotta remember the time period ,Mac 10-10s' Homelite XL-12s' etc .The Sears Ropers or the Mac 610's would walk away from them .Husqvarna was unheard of and Stihl hadn't gained a foot hold yet  plus they cost about twice as much.

Probabley the hottest thing going was the Lombard Comango/Al-42 but there weren't that many dealers .

The subject Poulan sold units at various places painted every color of the rainbow .I never ever saw an actual Poulan dealership in these parts .
