Poulan Pro 180
« on: December 27, 2013, 11:38:46 pm »
Hello all. Thanks for the reference Cut4fun! ;) Have you been able to determine the age of this saw? I'm trying to date a Poulan 180 Pro but so far can't find mention of it on the 3 sites I'm a member of. Try to attach a pic here. Not trying to hijack this thread, I just think one of these saws might be based on the other judging by the model number. Hope I'm not off topic.

PP 505, 475, 445.

Brettl,

I can't exactly date the PP 180 for you but it is an evolution of the Micro 25 which came out in the 70's.
If you are referring to the 2 saws in your photo, I can assure you that the 180, nor any saw in its lineage had anything in common with the black and yellow cinderblock from McCulloch except color.

I appreciate it. Sorry if I was out of line posting in the 1800 thread. The information you have found is awesome! I now have both saws in the picture and am looking forward to cleaning and tuning as necessary!

Not out of line at all, glad you shared with all of us here.  Just felt the poulan 180 deserved it's own thread.
