It's been a long time but if memory serves  the fuel line was in two pieces with a splice in the handle portion .In my case the upper portion which goes through air box and into the carb  got stiff as a board .I replaced it after finally finding the right size the same time I rebuilt the carb and that was something like 30 years after I bought the saw .That and replacing the oil pump gasket is basically all I've ever done to that saw .It's been very trouble free .That saw I think is one of the most underated saws ever .Most people have no idea what they even are .

Idle speed needs adjusted. That's simple enough.
From darkness to light and back again.
