The bare bore versions may have been produced after that IPL was printed.  For example, the 2900 Type 1 and 2 have a different P/C than Type 3 and 4.  I have seen Sears IPL's that show P/C part #'s that correspond to both versions.  IIRC, the Type 3 and 4 are the bare bore/plated piston versions...
