I don't know of a SN or date range where they made the change.  Rather, the IPL's show the change by Type.  Likely different for each of the models in the series, but with the PP295 the change looks to have happened with Type 3.  Type 3 and 4 have the new style bearing/seal setup.

I may have to keep my eye out for a later one as a project saw - I'm very happy with how the 42cc worked out after reducing the squish and adding the case stuffers in the cap.  The rubber coated combo bearings make squish reduction easier and case volume may be low enough on these already.
