I like most of the parts are still available new.  Choice of nylon mesh or flocked type air filter.  Anyone remake the decals for this saw?

I was watching it too.  Decided not to bid got toooo many projects.  I haven't seen anything on decals for 380.  I'm kinda sorta looking myself.  My 380 decals aren't too bad but.

Yep I was watching it too.    It had to many parts missing for me so I did not bid.    I know the starter pulley is NLA.  But hope fully it is the same as a 3750, 3450, and 330.     In fact the 330 could have a lot of things in common.   I do not have a 380 so I cannot compare.

Well, its pretty much what I thought iT would be.  Looks like one of the muffler holes is wallered out, guessing the muffler got loose, guy kept on running it, melts the some of the top cover & piston is scored.  I haven't pulled the jug off yet, but the piston really doesn't look too bad.  I'm kinda at the cross roads right now on which direction i should go with it.  I have located almost all of the missing trinkets so thats pretty well covered.  I will need to order at minimum an air filter for it.  You guys that own & have ran these I tryin to decide build it up with a ported 038 mag topend, which was how I discovered this great line of saws to start with, option b Modified mark mention using an 039 piston & porting the 60cc topend, I'm thinking about this option right now as the 039 piston is pretty cheap.  But on the other hand a 52mm piston & closed port cylinder really should be pretty nasty.  Oh & i all ready have a new 038 mag cylinder, but it looks like I will need to install an impulse nipple on the base of this cylinder.

Show pics of how it is going with 038 match up.

I had once thought about making a 60cc poulan top work on the 3000 3300 305 335 crankcase. Then I though why for 6 more cc's over just using 335 3300. So I dropped the idea.
Now if I was builder a cheater saw for gtg stuff to pull the wool over some eyes that would be different.

I will Kevin, first up is the lack of the impulse nipple on the cylinder.  The 1000 series variants have that on the crankcase.  I'm guessing all of the wider crankcase saws ie (330, 380, 3450, 3750 etc) have a nipple on the cylinder base instead of the crankcase.  I was wondering if the 3mm big bore is gonna be worth the troubles, or if anyone else besides Arrowhead over on AS had done one of these conversions.  It is 3mm larger & closed ports.

The 365 3500 60cc has the impulse in the crankcase. Just so you know. Could go that route if easier then installing in cylinder,  install impulse nipple in the crankcase of your 380.

Sorry I didn't take any pictures yet.  It is a 60cc cylinder.  It really only needs a piston & ring, but I got a bigger plans for this 380.  Some observations so far.  The 60cc cylinder has the bolt pattern out wider in one direction than the 038mag cylinder, kinda of a surprise.  I got the rod bushings made up, & the original wrist pin needs shortened for the 52mm piston, kind of another surprise there.
