Posted this on AS, thought I'd post it here as well. I picked up this NOS as a birthday present to myself. ;) Kevin I checked the carb and it has a HDA 164.

Nice find!  I wish mine was new again.

There is a guy that has a couple pallets of them in NC. Been selling them on craigslist and ebay.  Prices have climbed up from the 100-150 price listed last year though.
Was a notice on here somewhere when I knew about it.

Know someone that bought 5 of them to put back as a collector when cheaper.

Very nice saw there Andy.    Pretty cool to find one like that and you cannot beat those Model Poulans.

Thanks, now I just need to find the time to run it. How choked up are the mufflers on these saws? the ipl looks like they have a screen and a baffle, looks like that will be coming out asap.

The baffle is a structural component in attaching the front cover to maintain proper torque on bolts, cover just caves in without it.  Not choked up much that I can tell.

I learned to leave the baffle in them. Even after removing them for years.  I started drilling the baffle open on both ends.

Like said above it helps keeping the front from bending in.

I just cut some of the baffle out leaving the sides in place for support.
