What's plastic piece in gas tank?
« on: July 02, 2017, 11:44:03 am »
I have a Craftsman, which is the same as Poulan P3314.

Itís not running well, it does start, works part of the time, but it wonít go full power, dies back.

I dumped out the gas and a little plastic/rubber piece fell out, along with the fuel filter.

Can anyone tell me what this small plastic piece is/does, from inside the gas tank?
If you can tell anything from the picture.

Thank you,
Larry

Yep that is the Duck bill valve.    Looks like it may fit into the top of the gas cap.
