Poulan doesn't say what max rpm is in the service manual or owners manual.
Initial adjustment of high- and lowspeed mixture needles is one turn open
from a lightly seated position. Make final adjustment with engine running
at operating temperature. Adjust low- speed mixture needle  so engine will accelerate without hesitation.
Adjust high-speed mixture needle to obtain optimum full throttle
performance under cutting load. Do not operate saw with high speed mixture
setting too lean (needle turned too far clockwise as engine damage could result
from lack of lubrication and overheating.
Adjust idle speed screw so engine idles just below clutch engagement speed.

Finally put dads bought new poulan 3300 (maybe 93) and bought new TH mac (maybe 79-81) on the bench yesterday. Going to clean them up. Make sure running order and shelf them because they were dads.

The little poulan 2000 I gave him that I bought in 94 is already cleaned back up and being used pruning again this year. It had replaced that mac TH I despised using.

Dads poulan 3300 54cc he bought new in 1993 is cleaned up and ready for the shelf. Just purrs like a kitten idling forever and turns into a mad hornet.

Will just get it down from time to time to use and keep it going.

Made me smile and feel good about it.

Now to finish that little mac TH 130 I hated with a passion. Bought new in 79-81

Just going to save this here.  Dad  = That thing looks great.  You would not believe the hours we spent out here together cutting trees. I'm glad you have it.
Thanks for cleaning her up.

3300 saw I bought just for the parts mainly. Nice 335 recoil cover was on it and nice p+c. Just pulled it down to see what all it needed. Now prob just set on shelf being I got plenty of 54cc runners.

I wasn’t going to redo this 54cc 3300. Supposed to be running parts saw I bought in pieces with yellow 335 recoil. Just wanted it for the parts for my dads bought new 3300 .

Found few more recoils and those nla pulleys too. 330 3450 380  3750  and 365 3500

3 pulls fired on choke. Now to put a bar chain and test. Type3 later has some things different then dads Type1 that made me pull tank back off for a redo. 😒😋😂
No photo description available.

Got surprise. I put 16” 325 but someone had put a 3/8 rim. So 16” 3/8 k041 bar it is.
So far running cutting great.
Even though I won’t leave 3/8 set up on it.

Some more parts for guys asking.
