Roger is there a AV version of this saw. Not talking like the heavier 38cc ones with the big av sticking out the back with longer handle.

I really do not know if there is a AV version.   This one is 38cc and it just seems to operate smooth.    I never really noticed that it does not have AV.

The 530019059 seals are both a Poulan and Husky part #, so you can get them through any Poulan or Husqvarna parts outlet (including your Husky dealer).  I've gotten four over the counter from my local Husky dealer.  You can also get them from a bearing/automotive supply place.  SKF4913.  Same seals are used in the little Homelite XL2/Super2 clamshells.

Thanks Aaron good to know.   I already got my seals and need to bring my tools home from work so I can install them.

I got the seals put into the 205 today.   I did both sides and wow what a difference it made.   The saw started quicker and easier.   Now when it idles and I tilt it to it's side it does not speed up.   The throttle response seems better also.
I am going to have to retune it but it is only about 28 degrees outside right now so I will wait.

I will say those seals are so small and thin that I took a old t-handle Allen wrench and ground a hook on the end and then used it to pull out the old seals.

Good job Roger.  Yeah they're some of the smaller seals.  Not as bad as a damn 026 though.  I make 'improvised' tools like that and pull them with my small HF slide hammer.

Not surprised about it running better now.  Those saws have about 27 feet of fuel line (a slight exaggeration).  If the impulse signal is weak (due to leaking seals) and/or the pump diaphragm is sketchy..................they won't run well.

The Micro that I changed seals on was a night and day difference.  Suddenly it would tune and idle right.  When it was leaking, it didn't exhibit the 'changing idle speed with tilt' thing that saws often (but not always) show with leaking seals however.  I've talked to guys (mostly on AS) that automatically eliminate leaking seals as the problem if the saw doesn't change speed when tilted.  Some of the same guys have said the saw can't have an air leak if it'll run 'right' at WOT and/or doesn't race uncontrollably on it's own..... ::)

Not saying that you're one of 'those guys' at all.  Just venting a bit of pent up frustration...... 8)

Well you are right about the saw tuning at WOT.   This saw would 4 stroke just fine but it did show other symptoms of a possible air leak.
