Chainsaw Repair

I got a P4018WT Wild Thing given to me. It had rotten fuel lines so got new ones installed along with a new carb, plug, air cleaner, primer bulb, ect.

It starts right up, idles great. Throttle response is good on quick pulses. If I squeeze the throttle about half way it will rev up high and stay. If I throttle wide open it wants to fall flat and die. My guess is that it's not getting enough fuel and needs adjustment. I have the tool on the way, but what should I try first?

I have watched several videos on youtube and other forum responses but I see nothing consistent so I thought I would ask.

I also have a wild thing that I've had for probably 10 years. I also just had to replace all the lines, filters, and carb. Mine will crank but wont run long. So if you figure it out and can determine the correct carb adjustment please post up your findings.

Yes I believe it is the 2375. By different do you mean with the carb adjustment?

I got the tool in and it took about 10 minutes to adjust.  I ended up turning the H CCW about 1/2 turn.  Runs great now!  As for dying, I had that problem when I turned the L CCW.  I ended up turning it back CW until it would stay running and idle well.

I am no pro, but I went about 1/4 turn then test then repeat until I got it right. 

It runs as good as my Stihl now!
