Yes, that is correct. In the late 40's was probably the peak of this action. The engines were 10cc or .61" and were spark ignition gasoline. The two most popular engines were the Dooling 61 and McCoy 60 engines with rear rotary valves and ball bearing cranks.

The Miller look was popular. These cars mostly had a front engine - rear drive arrangement. I think the real full size Millers were front drive.

The antenna looking device out of the top of these is the lever to cut the ignition off.

Hey chainsaw repair about your 166  i am pretty sure that this  pipe have been done by remi gagnon and not by marcel. There is 2 reasons 1: the header from what i know remi is the only one that use exhaust line turn like that for headers
2:the stinger is shiny and he have been doing this for years has signature.

Thanks for sharing that info. I had always wondered about the chrome stinger deal.

If my memory is right on this, I had always heard the pipe may have been made by Gil Levesque  and it had came with a Levesque chain and that it was originally built as a muffler saw by MVP from my understanding.  I could be totally wrong on all of the first part on pipe.
I would go with what you say on the pipe, being you would know the sig of builders up there. Thanks for the info.

Here is the exhaust now days as I sold it. I put a new set of 394 rings in it an it was stronger then I had ever seen it when I first got it. Hung a ring in transfer was reason for rebuild and was running oem 166 piston backwards. Also had the largest WG I have seen WG2 I think it was.
I had also bought 2 wiseco 166 pistons with 1mm rings, but all of it was sold as a package.
