4ci mini gtg for comparisons

(1/4) > >>

Cut4fun:
At the moment I am setting up a mini gtg to run some stock 60cc-65cc saws for comparisons. All will be run with 3/8 chain and 7T for sure. Might do 8T if I have time and energy to so so. Will also put the 57cc  357xp in the mix.

Right now I think I can come up with a brand new not broken in 365 special, 362xp not broken in off fresh rebuild, 036 pro not broken in off fresh rebuild, dolmar 6000, 357xp, (asking permission to use the sold poulan 3750 60cc bad boy on my shelf), poulan 4000, poulan pro 365,  poulan pro 415.

Hey Mike aka: rsmoparman why dont you run up here with your dolmar 6400 pleeeeeeeese

Dang need a 562xp too.

I might have more out there I forgot to add to list.  :-[

I need to know the wood size before i make my vote. The bigger the wood , the 365sp and the 036 will do better. IMO.

Playinwood:
Everything I've been told, a 562 will run with a stock 372...so thats where my money is

It wont win because they dont have one to test.... ;)

Ron there is bigger wood about 20mins away, but I am limited to what I can lift into my truck by myself.  So it will be smaller hardwood pieces I was about to lift 4' chunks of. I will go measure right now and get back with you in post.

I ran a stock demo 562 and it left me unimpressed Jeff with all the hype I have read about it. Of course this saw was probably not broken in and the dealer didnt even have the computer hook up tool to do the updates. Seemed very peaky and was easily stopped in the cut, this was just the one I ran. I know it wasnt worth the $749 retail asking price IMO.  The 036 pro I just put together seemed stronger after rebuild. Could have just been the 562xp I ran, who knows.
