Well reviving this old thread to show how serious I'm taking retirement, Lol.
 This coming Saturday would have been my 21st Northern Manitoba Trappers Festival Logger Sports that I would have run.
But my team back in my old home town reassures me they can pull it off.

3 years ago I donated my fold up stage trailer, PA system and all other equipment to the Festival.
This winter festival is one of the oldest if not the oldest in Canada originating in 1916.
And yes they had powersaw contests back in the late 1940's into the 1950's.
Here's some pics from last year, with a windchill between -30 to -40 below I like to call it the "Survivor Series".  That's my daughter Tina cutting in the bottom pic of the poster, she hasn't missed a competition since 1998.
How about carving a eagle in 4 hours in those -40 temps, like Rick Hall did?
