Really liking the nice milled cants you did up.
This coming Monday I'm going to test the Husky 338XPT with the 63PS chain versus the .325 NK. I have lots of left over cant .
Well todays Monday and still not warming up at all, there's still a -40 below wind coming out of the NW. Just in the shop getting the 338XPT converted over with the different b/c's and digging through the old chainsaw mags , scanning and posting them.

Here's the best new kept secret I found that my Husky dealer is selling, 95 octane fuel mix. Made my 125 blower and the 550XP's run better then they ever did on premium gas with Stihl Ultra mix.

Fellas I won't be testing the chains until sometime after March 12 when my family and I get back from our vacation in the Dominican .
I was doing tree removal for a customer yesterday and had a -43 below wind chill blowing out of the north east. The rum and the hot weather in the tropics is long time due :)

Understand that on the cold and testing.  Have chains to sharpen for folks myself.

Heck I waved the white flag on other stuff.  Pay The Man I thought.  I'm having to take one of my 2 breakdowns in for a fix tomorrow. Just to freaking cold for me crawling under car.  Will try and finish the other one Sat when suppose to get in the 30's F I hope . It just seems never ending right now. heater resistor module, then water pump then alternator. Then other one trans line gave up the ghost  ( its going in being my only fix is redneck).   Have to drop transfercase and trans 3/4 way down to get to the 2 lines.

Well in 4 days time it's 2015's turn to stage our chainsaw events once again here in northern Manitoba.
Still having the 550XP supplied saws, but something different this year .....8"x8" spruce.

You folks out there are very fortunate to have  someone like "HolmanTree" to organize events like that. Looks like a lot of fun... :)

Hey guys, sorry for the late update. The event went good even though it was -50 below with a strong windchill out of the northwest. :o
We set up early and the wind chill was brutal, was going to call it off but a good crowd of competitors showed up and said "let's do it". Only 2 carvers showed up and they carved for the whole day.
Had to pull start my Yamaha 3000 generator for the 1st time as the battery didn't have enough jam, even had 5-30 synthetic in the engine.

I'm just trying to round up some photos as my photographer didn't show up until almost towards the end, I was too busy and forgot about takong pics.

But with all the cold and all those two little Husqvarna 550's ran perfect for the whole day. Couldn't believe how well those little saws ran. No heated carbs ,just the pre heaters kits installed. We were cutting 8"x8" spruce and those saws looked pretty impressive 8)
