good cant hook/logjack to purchase?
« on: February 08, 2014, 11:20:44 am »
I've got my eye on a woodchuck quad anyone have experiene with 1? I bought long tongs to pull logs outa the woods with. I used my new honda pioneer sxs the other day to pull logs right to the truck. It makes it nice but now i need something to roll the logs and lift them up so as to keep the saw outa the dirt/snow.

yep that'd be what I'm speaking of. I've used floor and bottle jacks and automotive jack stands in the woods many times.

This combo worked for me. The one log lift needs 2 folks. I have used lift outback by myself but was rough straddling the log.

I have pretty much the same two tools except my cant hook has a large diameter wood handle much like the handles on the carrier

I use a Stihl peavey with the log stand. It's manufactured by LogRite. Quality Made in USA tool. http://www.logrite.com/

I happened to be able to get one while at the folks house on vacation sometime back....

The hickory handled 60" is pretty much un-stoppable!  I can roll logs onto the sawmill bunk, around a field, and pretty much misuse this tool in any manner I can dream up.....and it keeps on going!  Can't say enough good about this product.
