I must say this is a most helpful group, I'm glad I found it.

Another thing to consider is wind speed and direction while felling trees.
As I explained about felling with the trees natural lean off of a face of the timber stand.
You need a backup plan if you get a bad wind screwing up your felling. A 2nd face will be needed with a different angle on the timber stand to work with the wind.
One thing you quickly come to realize when felling trees, you can't fight the wind. Haha.
