Just showing some firewood pics.
« on: March 20, 2014, 07:44:06 pm »
Just taking a few picutures of the wood pile.   A lot of it is cotton wood but if you look  around at the Pics there are not a lot of trees here so I take what I can get for free.

How about the rest of ya got any pics of your firewood stash.  Its been a long winter maybe not much left.

My stash is mostly black ash that died from the EAB in the yard and neighbor's yards. I do have some silver maple that I haven't finished blocking up and splitting yet. The Silver maple was just cut this past late summer and fall by Asplundh for the power company.

I able was to scrounge up some more firewood.  Those are the centers from large cable reels.   Stacked about 6' tall.

Yes my goal is to get a year or 2 ahead of what I might use for one winter.

I had started back getting in the act of cutting firewood here. But then I bought my Logosol timber jig and I am now torn between splitting firewood or cutting lumber. I have 6 acres here but it has been so wet I have not been able to do either one. Will post some pictures when it dries up some.
