2 friends were using one of their homemade splitters. One would load one put it in motion. Well their  timing got off toward the end and caught one of the guys finger tip and took it right off.  The owner of the splitter aka land owner too, his  insurance paid the guy like 50K for the mishap.

I have a pic somewhere where a another friend was cutting some crotched wood to split some wood and his daughters boyfriend went over to help and stumbled and fell into the moving chain hand first trying to catch himself.
