Nice trees !
Glad to see you're getting your veggies with those burgers LOL .

How far would these trees be from your Dad's place? We are cutting on Chemin du Petit Moulin by Swallow Lake.

Sorry about the late reply , as the crow flies about 30k driving ?
Swallow Lake , you were handy to one of my uncle's cottage on Clearwater lake . My old man lives on the Township line road close to Weymouth , look for Issacs Lake .

You running 325 or 3/8 ?

Tried a 3/8 setup but went to a .325 8 tooth setup and stayed with it.

We just got our Stihl 33 carbide chain in. $50 for the length you asked about.

What's you thoughts on cost plus the cost of paying for sharpening vs the regular chain ?

The only place I can see the carbide having any value is in railroad ties, treated timber and in frozen skidder wood. Chain is slow with factory grind. I would use a RM or DP chain in the above condition rather than a RD3 chain.

I checked the price of the 72rd66 today as the price I said yesterday seemed low. It was, selling price is $69.95.

A chain and 8 sharpenings would be $218.50 at the shop. Not a bargain to me. The carbide tooth is short so chain needs replacement sooner.

I will stick to the old chain.
