Back 20 years ago I had a cool Chevy S10 pick up lowered all around and all blacked out with a Chevy 350 and THM350.

As I was walking out to it from work and got right up close to the passenger side, the whole passenger side rear view mirror fell off into the parking lot.

A new one cost $50.

If I had not seen the mirror just fall off on its own, I would have been really PO'd that someone had broken my mirror off?

Neighbor 4 or 5 houses south of me had his two sons holding a rope to pull a tree over away from the powerline when he was cutting the tree. Needless to say the power went out for about 3 hrs.

My oldest step son cut down a tree over his garage some 10 years ago but don't know the details.

I don't get it.  Why did he not pull it over with the truck instead of waiting for it to fall on its own.   I have pulled a lot of dead pine over that were leaners the wrong way with no problems.

I pull on the tree until all four wheels spin while in low range and 1st gear right after the notch is cut.

I watch in the mirror and feel. When the tree starts to go from the back cut and the rope gets the least slack I'm hell bent till I see in the mirror that the tree is falling correctly.

I'm afraid to pull too much while he's cutting for I may cause a barber chair situation.

No tension on the rope and obviously no notch or proper back cut, the only thing that tree could not do was fall away from the truck.  ::) Looks like she will get her new kitchen.

That rope was still pretty much in the original position after the tree fell on the house?
