505 do good?

Those logs are 4 ft long.    I had read where MDAVlEE or Mike recommended using square chain so I took one of my used chains and square ground it.

The first cut off the top only took about 60 seconds to get through.    Then as I got deeper into the log it then slowed down to about 90 seconds to get through it.

By the time I made the last cut I could tell it was slowing down and needed sharped again.

The logs are beetle kill lodge pole pine.   They a around 14" wide at the center of the log.

This is the 505 with the Stihl piston in it.     Tachs out at around 14,000 with bar and chain on.

This saw I have used for stumping on old dead elm trees and now for this.   It is the strongest out all of my other Poulan 505's or J=red 2083's that I have.
