I'd rather have that Echo 355T tophandle (or a red Shinny version) than an MS201T or 540XPT.  Glad to see Echo dropped the price.
Yep main reason I'm still running my 338XPT  NE.  The day I found out my 338 was out cutting my MS200 by a good margin I got rid of the 200 also.
I loved running the Shinny 680 back in the early 1980s. But come winter she wouldn't run .Iced up worse then the Stihl's.

I have a disassembled 335XPT California (43cc Ca-only version) in a box that I'll get to someday.  Needs a piston.

Do you still have the Shinny 680?  I have a friend who needs a piston for one.

No my skidder operator had the 680. I haven't seen him around for about 25 years. 680 came out  about the same year as the 034.

If you like the Jap top handles.... there is a recent offering from Shin&Echo in the 25cc class known as the CS-2511TES or older but same CS-2510TES, lighter than the MS150T with about the same rated power. I have two 'Yamabiko' Makita 231t's which up until this new Echo was 'the lightest gas saw' sold on the planet today. Sadly the Makita 231t is not sold in the US market. While they don't have 35-40cc top handle power, they are about half the weight and run a 10"-12" b/c well. I pick up a 231t more often than a 201t or 200t both of which I own too.
