shindaiwa 757
« on: June 19, 2011, 11:10:10 am »
Hi, I am writing to ask you a question about italy to the model Shindaiwa 757.

3 years ago I bought one but the surprise was on the certificate of origin where it was declared a power of 2.8 kw 4.1 against the catalog.

just a question of markets and regulations?

(Start by saying that the saw has been returned to the dealer replaced it with a Jonsered 2186)

From what I can find on specs the shin is more like the husky 372 and stihl 044 440.

757 & 757c
Dry weight*   14.9 lbs. (6.8 kg)
Displacement   4.5 cu. in. (73.6 cc)
Output   5.6 hp (4.2 kW)
Fuel tank capacity   25.7 oz. (760 ml)
Oil tank capacity   11.1 oz. (330 ml)
Bar length   18 to 32 in. (45 to 80 cm)

Welcome to the site.  8)

the certificate of origin is a guarantee slip that certifies that the saw is new factory.
at a space you are given the details of that approval, and max hp and power consumption per hour at full power.

it must be said that in Italy the model 757 is no longer imported, while the model is  Shindaiwa 389s which is not a trace.

Yup, my Dad has been running it a bunch. He loves it, great saw for $550 brand new with a 28" bar.

Yeah it's a big "pro-flow" type filter like the aftermarket ones for Stihls.
