Are they single aka dual transfers like 044 or quads like 372?

I haven't opened it up yet to look. I wanted to port it and add a couple more exhaust outlets but the ol man wants to keep it stock for while...lol

Are pistons available for this model?  I have a 757 with a roached piston.  Thing is in damn good shape aside from that.  I did some google and eBay searching for a piston a while back and came up empty....

They're a dual transfer-port cylinder like an 044. As Adam said- when in good repair, they have a touch less power and top end than a 372 or 440, but they're a fine running saw. Like most stuff Shindaiwa- they're a tank and will take much abuse. They have a domed piston and combustion chamber and when ported, they can be turned up a bit. The carburetor is the weak spot/bottleneck on these. If a guy could put an HD-12 off of a late non X-torq 372, they'd run a lot better.

Great info. Thanks JJ.

The guy said the muffler bolts are tac welded to the muffler because they kept coming loose on him.
That part worries me because it may of wollygagged the cylinder muffler mount bolt holes.

Shindaiwa and Echo saws are the most difficult to flow... Shindaiwa 757 are indestructable. The only problem they have is muffler screws get loose with time, however you can fix them with loctite or similar products.
