Anyone with a 652?
« on: December 05, 2013, 01:28:41 pm »
I bought this saw brand new with an 18" blade. I discovered the couling clips were very brittle and I wrote to the company telling of my dissapointment. They obligedly sent me ample replacements. I use it intermittenly with great care. I would guess I put 15 tanks max through it since purchasing. Now I am bewildered again. For the first time ever the saw stopped running abruptly. There is no spark. Coil? Wire disconnected? It is barely broke in!! Luky I have a Stihl I can count on even if it only has a 14" bar. Has anyone experienced similar?

I know nothing about this solo. But will try to help some.  Says semi pro saw for medium duty.  I dont even see a solo 652 in the IPL's on the solo website.

Sure coil?  Have you checked at plug or with spark tester between the plug and coil?

A few have them here but I have never heard of any problems (of the 646/652 line) from them. Is the coil loose so that the gap might ont be correct.

They belong in the farmer/semipro category. Not a bad saw, but as usual a small company has problems being visulized on the market.
