Art said one time his race 026 with 084 carb was faster in the same 8x8 cant wood.  But that is expected IMO.   I bet that solo 675 was loud with that muffler mod.

Posted by Adam Clarke  =  Artzer's brother in law raced 665 a couple weeks back and got 4th? place in the 4 cube stock appearing class. Less than a tank through the saw, all factory minus a small muffler mod and race chain. torquey little devil!!! lol!

Far as I understand a stock 665 with race chain.  WOW WTG

Video info posted  Published on Sep 3, 2014  Stock Solo 665 with a minor muffler mod. Brand new, still on it's first tank of gas. Spanked the Husky 562's that were running...lol

Less than a tank through it before that vid was taken. Race chain. Sounded a little fat on first 3rd of the cut.

The heat builds up in the cylinder and they are not fat any more?

Nick was running my Dolmar 6800 at a GTG last year this time and notice how awful rich it was at the beginning of the first cut and how perfect the mixture was in the second cut after the saw warmed up a little.

Feedback from a user of the solo 681.

I forgot about my Solo 681 . It flat screamed with this 16" bar on it. . Kinda hard on my back from all the bending over though. But, it did fit in the rack on my snow go. And it would start and run pretty good. . With an 8 tooth 3/8 s I had seemingly no end to the chain speed.
I wrecked the maincase on it with a 36" bar. There just wasn't the meat around the bar studs to take the extra stress of the long bar. Had I stuck with short bars on it. It probably would have made me money. As it was I gave it to a friend that is good at tinkering with stuff.
I made it about 50 cord with me. But it was a good feeling saw. It had more power than the 372 Huskies 75cc and the 460 Stihl .
