Thanks for the info, I really like the Idea of using an ear plug, I was worried about my air cleaner cover not working with the 194 style air cleaner.
 you said I could swap the metering diaphragm cover ? is it as simple as just unbolting and swapping?

With mine it was a perfect fit to just swap the metering valve covers but I decided to keep the WT-194 as original and plug the hole in the air filter with the E A R ear plug instead.
We should share what we know... someone may learn...

The 194 is the carb I've been using on the last half dozen I rebuilt this year

Place them in a ultrasonic cleaner for a few hours then a carb kit and your set
