Well, the gamble on the metal tank turned out to my advantage! The tanks are the same part #, so we are good there. I discovered that I need a ground wire, the one that goes to the switch and has the little brass bullet on the end. If any one has the part number send it along.

These saws IMHO, are a huge PITA to work on!
