Stihl 044 plug not getting wet

20 pulls on full choke and nothing. I turned both screws out once to be on the safe and still can't get any gas smell.  do you guys think its the fuel line. I already took the carb apart and cleaned it and it looked fine.

You can pull the fuel filter out of the tank to check the integrity of the fuel line. I see if it will hold a vacuum?

You mean hold my finger over the hole and see if there is suction while cranking it ?

You can do that

I usually unfasten it from the carb and with a extended fuel line attached - I suck on the line at the carb and hold my finger over the line at the filter end and see if the line holds a vacuum.

I'm not so concerned about starting it when the plug is bone dry. I'm sure it will run if I got gas up there because the spark is strong.  that is when I noticed the plug was dry and rusty and hasn't seen fuel in a while.  I'm sure its the fuel line because it feels squishy at the bottom. Carb is super clean as expected on this saw.

There are more things on a two-stroke that can cause this fuel problem, if you don't tried you can't be sure ;) ans it can help the diagrams to set also
