I probably will. They're only $7 or $8 and free shipping. I'll give them a shot. Meanwhile, I think I'll go to a fabric store to try to match up the flock we use. Once one is worn out, I don't think it would be to hard to apply adhesive to the plastic only and put the new flocking on. Although instrumental to the durability of our saws, it's not rocket science either.

We subject our off road rc cars and trucks to tremendous amounts of dirt and dust on the track and you'd be surprised how much experimenting has taken place at one time or another. The neatest I've seen is those colored "Ace" type bandages that wrap and stick to themselves. Many racers use them as a 1st stage filter to catch the big stuff. This bandage is somewhat tacky to the touch and yet it doesn't collect excess debris like you would suspect. It's pretty open so it doesn't restrict airflow. Something to try in dirty cutting on a Stihl 441 type filter? Maybe so. It's cheap, and takes seconds to cut, wrap and press.
