having a 'reputable' shop (or any shop) go through that saw top to bottom will cost near as much as a new one. the 064's are one of the pricey stihls to find parts for.

Okay?
Then what should I do, toss it in a landfill?  Then spend another $1,100.00 on a new one.....  I'm thinking that would probably not be the best plan......

Still thinking a rebuild would come out under that total....
