MS 260 Cylinder and piston.
« on: September 26, 2015, 10:29:23 pm »
A couple months ago HL Supply had a short sale on MS260 cylinder and piston sets $25.

After getting the assembly, I tried to compare what HL Supply offers.

It has been said that the Hyway brand are pretty good for the money ($90) but this wasn't their Hyway brand. The one I received was the $60 no name set. Still, it was a good deal.

Comparing parts numbers and pictures, I've concluded that all the HL Supply MS 260 Cylinder kits are made by the same company but the plating quality is much better in the Hyway version? The other offerings vary by what comes in the kit.

My cylinder had some pin holes in the Nikasil which I do not consider to be detrimental. Everything else about the piston/cylinder looked good like how far up the plating went and the deburring around the ports as well as the other parts. It had the "C" clips for the piston pin.

I am pleased considering what I paid for it.
